Chitin oligosaccharides were products of chitin degradation. Chemical name: β-(1,4)-2-acetamino-2-deoxy-D-
glucose, the degrees of polymerization (DP) was 2-10.
Appearance: light yellow or gray white powder
Solubility: Easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in methanol, ethanol, insoluble in Acetone, Ether, petroleum ether and so on
having strong inhibitory effect on fungi
